Kindergarten Readiness for Black Kids

4 out of 10 students enter Kindergarten without the readiness skills to maximize learning. As Black moms we constantly consider if we are doing enough to set our children up for success. We wonder if when others - the teachers, the principal, and your child's classmates - look at our child if they see what we see... a brilliant and highly capable child. During this workshop, moms will: 

- Learn the readiness skills (academic and non-academic) that should be developed in your child to make entry into Kindergarten most successful

- Receive information about how to make the transition into Kindergarten smooth for everyone (Kindergartener and mom!) 

- Receive a bank of activities you can use at home to reinforce reading skills, math skills, self help skills, routines and to affirm your child as a smart, confident, kind child who is proud to be Black
